GALLERY FRIENDS
The Gallery Team have mutually agreed that we are no longer able to support the running and co-ordination of the Gallery.
When restrictions are lifted, and life returns to a new normal, perhaps a new team would be interested in supporting Gallery events – we will be more than happy to assist in any way we can, but until then, the Gallery will be in recess.
Although we are no longer to actively support and be involved in the planning and supporting the running of an exhibition, we are open to hiring the Gallery if the event/exhibition can be independently conducted, as with the Mordialloc Beach Primary School, and their annual Art Exhibition and display.

ABOUT THE GALLERY
At the end of 2011, we completed the renovation and extension of St Nicholas’ facilities which successfully combined the old with the new creating a beautiful reordered worship space that faces east through the opened up arches.
We created a Gallery space in what was the old sanctuary, a beautiful area of red brick and stained glass interspersed with white walls. Track lighting has been installed to highlight exhibits and displays, and many find the space both reflective and inspiring. We named this space St Columba Gallery in honour of St Nicholas’ sister Church, St Columba, in nearby Edithvale, which was deconsecrated and sold in 2007, paving the way for the combined parish to redevelop St Nicholas in Mordialloc. St Columba Church will always remain an integral part of our history and we wish to preserve the memory, the heritage and the people who came together with St Nicholas Mordialloc to serve their community, faith and Church.
We have successfully hosted many varied and diverse exhibitions since opening our Gallery, ranging from private concerns to community events and our own seasonal offerings, with many repeat exhibitors. The Saint Nicholas Poetry Society, which meets the second Wednesday of every month @ 1pm, grew out of an exhibition.
